Factory Acceptance Tests – Anything but Routine

Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) are the last quality assurance check for transformers before leaving the manufacturer’s floor. FAT is often viewed as perfunctory – an opportunity to simply check the box – which exposes utilities to potential design deficiencies that are significantly more costly to rectify once the transformer is in the field.

Read our eBook to discover the key ingredients for a successful FAT:

• An experienced inspector to spot manufacturing defects.

• Confirmation that transformers meet all design specifications.

• Assurance that transformers are ready for service on day one.
